The B.Pharm Lateral Entry is a provision that allows students who have completed a Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) to enter the Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) course directly in the second year or third semester of the program. This is offered to candidates who have gained foundational knowledge in pharmacy through the D.Pharm course and wish to pursue a higher qualification in the field of pharmacy.

Admission Requirements, Process, and Duration

Eligibility:
To be eligible for lateral admission directly to the third semester of the B.Pharm course, a candidate must have passed the Diploma in Pharmacy course under the Pharmacy Act of 1948 from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India, with a minimum of 50% marks in the final year examinations.

Registration:
To register for the B.Pharm course, a candidate must submit a formal application in the prescribed format, along with the original degree certificate, mark sheets of the qualifying examination, allotment letter from the competent authority, eligibility and migration certificates (where applicable), original SSLC/equivalent certificate, and the prescribed course fees.

Duration:
The duration of the B.Pharm course for lateral entry students is six semesters (three academic years). The curriculum and syllabus for the program will be prescribed by the Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi.
