Dr. Manal Mohammed is currently working as Professor & Head in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, KMCT College of Pharmacy, Kuttippuram, Malappuram. Her research interests include molecular modeling, in silico design of novel molecules using computational tools and the synthesis thereof. She has completed her PhD degree from JSS Academy of Higher Education & Research, Mysuru. The study was focused on the design and synthesis of novel compounds as histone deacetylase (HDAC) inhibitors for cancer therapy. Her research was supported by Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India under DST Women Scientist scheme. She has more than 12 years of teaching and research experience in analytical chemistry, medicinal chemistry, molecular modeling, and drug design. She has published 9 papers and also authored 2 book chapters.
