Dr. P K Valsalakumari completed her B.Pharm and her M.Pharm from Government Medical College,Thiruvanathapuram. She is currently serving as a Professor & HOD at KMCT College of Pharmacy, while also taking on the responsibility of Chief Vigilance Officer. She has earned her Ph.D. from Periyar Mariyamman University Of Sciences and Technology Deemed University, Vallam, Thanchavoor, Tamil Nadu. Her research interests is in Pharmacy Biotechnology and have additional PG in Clinical research from Toronto,Canada.
After completing her education, Dr. P K Valsalakumari began her career as a teacher and researcher, focusing on the areas of pharmaceutics. She has been actively involved in developing course curriculums, designing research projects, and mentoring students.
Dr. P K Valsalakumari has authored over 5 publications and has attended several conferences and workshops, including Faculty Development Programs (FDPs). She has more than 35 years of teaching experience in the government sector.
