Program Overview

The Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) program at KMCT College of Pharmacy offers students a deep understanding of pharmacy and healthcare. It covers essential topics like pharmacology, drug formulation, and patient care, blending theory with hands-on learning. Through labs, clinical placements, and internships, students gain practical experience to prepare for careers in pharmacies, hospitals, research, and the pharmaceutical industry. 

Admission Requirements, Process, and Duration

Eligibility:

To be eligible for admission to the first semester of the B.Pharm course, a candidate must have scored a minimum of 50% marks overall and 50% marks in the optional subject in any of the following examinations: HSE, CBSE, ICSE, or any other examination approved as equivalent by the Kerala University of Health Sciences.

The candidate should have studied Physics, Chemistry, and one of the following optional subjects: Biology, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Biotechnology.

Registration

To apply for registration in the B.Pharm course, a candidate must submit an application in the prescribed format along original degree certificate, mark sheet of the qualifying examination, allotment letter from the competent authority, eligibility and migration certificates (where necessary), original SSLC/equivalent certificate, and prescribed course fees.

Duration

The B.Pharm course extends over eight semesters (four academic years) and six semesters (three academic years) for lateral entry students. The Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi, will prescribe the curriculum and syllabus for the program from time to time.
